RENTAL CONDITIONS
Short-term rentals of this accommodation are made through online booking platforms, mainly airbnb and Booking. Any reservation made on one of these platforms constitutes a rental contract between you and the host.
This contract gives you rights (to make the most of your accommodation) and obligations. The obligations associated with renting this #terredecocon accommodation are listed below:

1. Use of the property with due care and attention:
First of all, it calls upon the contracting party to the rental contract and the persons accompanying him to use this accommodation as a “bon père de famille”. This is a legal notion. A “bon père de famille” is someone who is prudent, diligent, attentive and concerned about the property and/or interests entrusted to him.
Indeed, this accommodation has been designed with great care to offer the greatest possible comfort to holidaymakers. The materials, furnishings and decor are of the highest quality.
You'll appreciate being able to use a property of this level of quality and service, which is why the host wishes to entrust it only to respectful people, to preserve this place and enable future holidaymakers to enjoy it in the same way.

2. Strict adherence to the number of people stated at the time of booking, failing which access to the accommodation will be refused:
The terms of the contract include the number of people coming to the accommodation during the stay. It is important to specify that strict compliance with the number of people announced and validated at the time of booking will be applied. Also, if the number of occupants is not correct, the host reserves the right to refuse access to the accommodation (on arrival or during the stay).
There are two reasons for this rule:
-
To respect the amount of tourist tax paid, which is an amount paid per occupant on booking platforms,
-
To respect the booking contract between host and holidaymaker, which is based on trust and transparency.
3. Read and respect the rules for the use of the accommodation below during your stay.
Please note that should any damage occur during your stay, the host will make a claim for compensation with the online platform. Remember to check the terms of your civil liability insurance contract, as some insurances do not cover damage caused in accommodation rented out on platforms such as airbnb or Booking. In this case, you'll have to pay for the damage yourself.
a) Protect materials and furniture during meals and social gatherings:
-
Use the coasters provided to protect worktops (granite or other) and tables (inside and outside).
-
Use the tablecloth provided on the indoor wooden dining table for all your meals to avoid stains as it is beautiful but fragile.
-
Do not use abrasive sponges on the induction hob or any other kitchen surface: granite worktop, bar...
-
If you're using the plancha, position it so that it's against the garden and not against the wall (its sheltered place when not in use), to avoid soiling the wall with food spatters.
b) Toilet use (very important): only toilet paper can/should be flushed down the toilet:
Do not throw anything else into the WC (empty rolls, tampons, wipes, cotton, sanitary pads, food, other...) as the house is equipped with wastewater lift pumps. Anything thrown away inappropriately can block them, requiring a truck to come and repair/unclog them (cost approx. 800€). Stickers on each toilet bowl remind you of this rule. Thank you for your vigilance.
c) Protect parasols from the wind during your absences:
Remember to close open parasols tightly each time you leave the accommodation, as they may tip over and be damaged in windy conditions.
d) Respect the quiet of the neighborhood:
-
Music is of course permitted, but please respect the neighbors and the property above (your host's home).
-
Parties are not allowed.
-
Quiet must be respected between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.
e) The accommodation is non-smoking:
Smoking is forbidden inside the accommodation. You may, of course, smoke outside, but you must put your cigarette butts in an appropriate container, which you must empty when you leave. An ashtray is available outside, on the window of the large toilet.
f) Managing your garbage :
During your stay, garbage cans must not be stored outside, as cats, dogs and foxes could tear the bags to pieces.
Regular garbage cans should be deposited in the local rubbish bin. Glass and plastic recyclable waste should be deposited in the Perrignier municipal containers located near the communal hangar on Rue du Redon (3 minutes away by car).
g) Please respect the rules governing the use of the Hammam to ensure your safety:
To make it as comfortable as possible for you, the host will explain to you on arrival how to operate the hammam. This is a professional hammam. Compliance with these instructions is key to safe operation. Settings (temperature, programming) must not be altered, as this could cause serious damage to your home.

- When using the steam room :
- The bathroom window (tilt-and-turn) must be ajar to facilitate the evacuation of humidity.
- The steam room door must be kept closed to prevent steam from spilling into the home and damaging paintwork and coverings.

- Once the hammam is finished :
Leave the steam room door and bathroom window open/ ajar until the steam has evacuated and the steam room has dried out. Remember to close the bathroom window properly (if you open it wide) before leaving your home.

- Preserve the interior furnishings dedicated to rest and relaxation after your hammam:
Dry off and use dry towels and/or a bathrobe when you lie down on the sofas or on the beige bench to make the most of your precious moments of relaxation. This way, you'll enjoy your time to the full, and avoid sponges or colored clothes rubbing off on these high-quality furnishings.

h) Secure your home while you're away:
When you're away from home, make sure all doors and windows are securely closed (including the hammam bathroom).

i) Opt for rational electricity consumption that respects the environment and our neighbors:

- At night, check that outside lights are switched off.
- When you're away from home, make sure all interior and exterior lights are switched off.
- Your host is keen to provide you with a warm, well-insulated cocoon. Make sure you use electricity (a costly energy source) sparingly, both for the environment and for your bills (underfloor heating and/or electric radiators in bathrooms).

j) Pets are not allowed:
The house is not fenced and the furniture is not suitable for animals.

4. To be done before the departure inventory of fixtures :

- All food, drinks and garbage must be removed from the apartment.

- Dishes must be clean and put away or being washed in the dishwasher.

- The fridge must be completely emptied.

- The Plancha and oven must be returned cleaned if they have been used and in the same condition as when you arrived. For the plancha: please clean the cooking surface, the knob area and the drip tray. Use white vinegar and the household paper towel provided in the dedicated basket (located in the laundry room). Do not use abrasive sponges on the cooking surface.

- Bathroom, WC and kitchen garbage cans must be emptied, and rubbish disposed of in the local garbage can.

- Finally, glass and plastic recyclable waste must be deposited in the dedicated communal containers (3 minutes from the dwelling by car), Rue du Redon.

5. Arrivals & Departures & Check-out .
- Arrivals are between 5pm and 9pm.
The host will offer to create a code for the front door in case of arrival in his absence. Explanations and recommendations for the use of the accommodation (described above) will be given to you by the host or a person in charge.
- Departures must be before 10am. The day before your departure, you will agree a time with your host to carry out the departure inventory. The departure inventory is mandatory, and also enables the keys to be handed over to the host or the person in charge of carrying it out.

6. Communication with your host during your stay :
Your host will be available via the messaging system on the online platform or by WhatsApp to answer your questions and give you details of the recommended walks, visits and outings on this site under the headings “Explore” and “Activities” or any other useful information.

7. Independent accommodation :
The accommodation provided is completely independent. The garden in front of the property and the terrace of the accommodation suite are at your disposal and for your use only.
Please note:
In summer, a garden maintenance company may visit, but this is exceptional, as your host is keen to let you enjoy the accommodation and its garden in complete peace and quiet.
Your host occupies the accommodation above #terredecocon (separate entrance).
